Tourism Department of Battambang Province made a Campaign “Cambodia Clean Up and Restaurants and Food – Stores without Garbage under Tables”

In the Evening of 03 September 2020, Mr. Uch Um Phinisara, President of Tourism Department of Battambang Province, led officials under his span of control to conduct propaganda “Cambodia Cleanup and Restaurants and Food-stores without Garbage under Tables”, at the restaurants and food-stores in Battambang city.

In compliance with instruction of National Committee for Clean City Assessment and the directly instruction of His Excellency Nguon Rattanak, Governor of Battambang province, the Tourism Department of Battambang Province established this campaign in order to instruct and enhance the owners of the restaurants and food-stores in the city to participate in maintaining hygiene, environment at their respective business bases and to need to stick instructing slogans on accurately garbage keeping; Furthermore,  the owners of restaurants and food-stores have to additional instruct their customers to put the garbage properly.

This campaign will be more undertaken in order to ensure that Battambang city is clean, in particular at restaurants and food-stores have hygiene, and without garbage under tables, then Battambang with attract more tourists to visit.

Taking that time, President of department also praised the owners of restaurants and food-stores who previously implemented actively by the instructions of the Ministry of Tourism as well as the Tourism departments of Battambang, and also gave some recommendations on the shortcomings of their businesses.

As suggestions; to local authorities, owners of tourism business and service bases, tourists and all citizens are to collaborate each other in implementing of better garbage management in order to make Battambang city becomes a clean city, comfortable city, and feel the warmth to citizens and tourists.
