Minister of Tourism: The Ministry of Tourism Along With Waikato Institute of Technology Will Cooperate Each Other in Formulating the First-Ever Tourism Professional Training via Online
(Hamilton): In the evening of 05 July 2019, Minister Thong Khon led a Ministry of Tourism’s delegation to discuss work with Mr. David Christiansen, Citing Rector of Waikato Institute of Technology and his colleagues. Following a working discussion and mutually views exchange, the two sides agreed on cooperation as following:
1. Formulating curriculum via online for tourism vocational in accordance with New Zealand’s qualification;
2. Creating to have study exchange and on the jobs training for tourism skilled students between Waikato Institute of Technology and Cambodia;
3. The preparedness for a study visit to formulate a branch of Waikato Institute of Technology in Cambodia.
Based on a series of activities which will be implemented, the two sides agreed to prepare a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation on tourism professional training between Ministry of Tourism and Waikato Institute of Technology – Wintech in time ahead. Minister is satisfied with the outcomes of discussion. The Ministry of Tourism will try its best to enhance this work as soon as possible and ask approval from the Royal Government in signing on the Memorandum of Understanding.
