Cambodia Announces to Put the First App (Kingdom of Wonder) in Use in Order to Promote the Stronger Tourist Destinations
(Siem Reap): Cambodia announced to put a new first Mobile Application App in officially practice, namely “Kingdom of Wonder” in order to advertise its tourist destinations via digital system to a stronger world tourism markets. The announcing of putting in use of a new app was made within a workshop on Cambodia Tourism Destination Promotion via Digital System and the Officially Launching of the Mobile Application App “Kingdom of Wonder”, on July 16, 2019, at the Sokha Siem Reap hotel, under presidency of His Excellency Kouch Panhasa, Undersecretary of States of the Ministry of Tourism and H.E. Neak Naron, Deputy Governor of Siem Reap province. The purposes of the workshop are to increase understandings, and to share stakeholders in tourism sector experiences on digital utilization in tourism destination promotion as well as transforming any service in tourism sector to be further attractiveness and high effectiveness in compliance with newly trends of the world in industrial revolution 4.0 era.
H.E. Kouch Panhasa stressed that the trend of digital system utilization is getting more popularity from the people as well as tourists from all around the world by in 2018; there are users up to 4.1 billion, in which Facebook has 2. 32 billion users and YouTube has 1. 8 billion users. Hence, the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism held the Mobile Application App “Kingdom of Wonder” in order for national and international tourists to download in IOS system (App Store) and in Android system (Play Store) by free of charge. The Mobile Application App “Kingdom of Wonder” is the main tourism information combinations of Cambodia, including tourism destinations, tourism conventions, tourism maps, flights, weather, restaurants, accommodations, domestic transportation ways and many other significantly information, providing convenient in seeking comprehensively information for tourists aiming at visiting to Cambodia at the present and in the future. H.E. Undersecretary of States requested stakeholders as well as private party to comprehensively advertise to their networks and customers, and to be ready for taking benefits from digital system as many as possible, particularly transforming service in their businesses in consistent with a new trend of the globe. Through above Mobile Application App, the Ministry of Tourism has hoped the national and international tourists and all tour companies are convenient in searching tourist information in order to achieve the international tourist growth of 6. 6 million in 2019 and over 7 million in 2020.
