Chinese Cultural Center Provides Ministry of Tourism 200, 000 Masks and Some Equipment to Contribute to Preventing Covid-19 Pandemic

(Phnom Penh): On morning of 08 December 2020, at the office of the ministry of tourism, His Excellency Tith Chantha, Acting Secretary of State and Representative of HE Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism, received precious gifts from Mr. Qian Yean Kang, President of the Chinese Cultural Center in Phnom Penh which include: 200, 000 masks and some other materials in order to contribute in fighting against global pandemic of Covid-19, in particular after having the occurrence of 28 November incident. This precious gift, the ministry will hand over to the servants of the ministry of tourism to use for meetings and some rest will be given to the people in Kampong Thom province, having H.E Thong Khon is as the president of a governmental working group for assisting Kampong Thom province, especially in Tang Kork and Baray districts. The humanitarian gesture revealed about a fruitful bilateral cooperation between Cambodia – China, which have been deeper strengthened and expanded to a new height “comprehensive strategic partnership”, and Chinese side’s support and the provision of material assistance to Cambodia are the attention beyond the framework of friendship, but it is a common heart between Cambodia – China. On the top of this, being at a difficult time of Covid-19, the Chinese friend revealed about deeply meaning and clearly stance in assisting Cambodia on all the fields in order to reach at the realization of “A Common Community of Shared Destiny China – Cambodia”. H.E Acting Secretary of State commended Mr. Qian Yean Kang, President of the Chinese Cultural Center in Phnom Penh and his colleagues for bringing about masks and some materials to the ministry of tourism. These materials are very crucial for making contribution to preventing and combating the pandemic of Covid-19 disease for leaderships and civil servants of the ministry of tourism and the local people.
