Due to Kep is the second province after Kampot province which can produce a salt product and the product is the strategic product for nation, the royal government put out a protection salt field vision, and stimulates more salt production. To the master plan will transform salt field tourist destination into salt field agro-tourism destination, on which there is an establishment of salt field museum in order to show domestic tourists and international tourists to know about salt production chain in Cambodia. Beside of this, there is a project for renovating existing streets along the Kep beach as well as renovating Angkol beach to have attractiveness and there is beach stretching from the east of Crab Market to the O’Krasa Mangrove Forest, as the new beach is shallow and there is no biodiversity, so it is planned to improve this beach area again because when having festival, there are many tourists gathering at today Kep beach, so it was viewed of making tourist destination diversification in the province in order not to put pressure only on this flooded beach area. In addition to improving these three beaches, there are still many projects such as expansion of international sports and tourism products, tourism war museum, the arranging a trip to visit the archipelago (Kep province has a total of 13 islands) which are rich in rich biodiversity such as corals, sea dolphins, pigs, aquatic fish and many other rare species, establishment of a small supermarket (Mart), night market, food streets and connecting waterway tourism from the international tourist port in Kampot to Kep province, as well as the establishment of festivals and tourism events.
