Mr. Sin Sarin, a construction contractor, confirmed that the three Buddha statues were built in 2003, but suspended in 2009 and rebuilt in 2018. This suspension was due to lack of funds. The statue is in Phnom Sampov Keut village, Phnom Sampov commune, is carved in Phnom Sampov stone using hand-carved tools. The construction contractor Sarin described that “construction is having some difficulties due to the lack of modern equipment, so it takes a bit long due to the use of manual strikes”.
