Cambodia Opens for Provision of Tourist Visa after Being Postponed Due to COVID-19

(Phnom Penh): The government has decided providing tourist visa to facilitate for the passengers entering into Cambodia after being many months postponed due to the outbreak of COVID-19, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn stressed that the decision of providing visa is based on better progress of situation in combating against with COVID-19 in Cambodia, as the government has decided to gradually and step by step reopen with high vigilance and responsibility in accordance with new normal context by compromising the condition and guidelines of visa provision and regime of quarantine for passengers coming to Cambodia. “Open for tourist visa provision after being postponed due to COVID-19 crisis to be able for receiving foreign tourists and general tourists and put in place the visa exemption”, according to Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn told Cambodian ambassadors and Consulates in abroad on October 20.

In addition, the government has also reactivated e-Visa applications for the convenience of travelers to Cambodia, but has continued to suspend visa on arrival.

Additionally, the Inter – Ministerial Commission for Combating COVID-19 revised the travel conditions, the implementation of health measures and the conduction of quarantine in Cambodia for passengers in line with new normal context, according the minister of foreign affairs.
