Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia has supported and promoted private sector cooperation in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS)!

The 2nd Mekong Tourism Summit 2021 had been conducted from 21 – 22 October 2021 through video – conference has presented the spirit of cooperation between private sectors in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) and the continued direction in boosting the tourism promotion after COVID-19 crisis.

On the occasion of the summit, HE Thong Rathasak, Director General of Tourism Development and International Cooperation, highly representative of HE Dr. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism, honored to give a 5-minute speech to show the position of the Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia, which plans to host the Destination Mekong, located in the office of the ministry of tourism towards to pushing broader Mekong and Cambodia tourism promotion on the international stage.

 Cambodia’s 5 private sector institutions shared its respective plans during and after crisis mainly focusing on the strengthening businesses’ resilience, the preparatory for promotion of Cambodia’s main tourist destinations, training human resources and improving the service quality and the services and products improvement, as the country has been ready for receiving foreign tourists in the time to come, particularly the contribution to domestic tourism movement which is also highly trending.
