(Dubai, United Arab Emirates): On the occasion of attending in 40th Annual Meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia on the morning of 22nd November 2021, His Excellency Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism, continued to lead a Cambodian delegation to support and visit the Cambodian national pavilion which is being exhibited at the 6 months lasted – World Expo in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The visit was also attended by H.E. Khuong Sreng, Governor of the Board of Governors of Phnom Penh, H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism and Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, as well as other senior officials of the Ministry of Tourism, and the Board of Governors of Phnom Penh.
Taking that time, the minister highly appreciated the Cambodian pavilion, which was designed in the Khmer style, blending ancient cultures with modern developments. Minister expressed that Cambodia’s participation in this World Expo is very important besides making good relation with the host parties of United Arab Emirates, as well as with the participating countries, Cambodia has a chance to promote Cambodian tourist destinations, Cambodian prosperous cultures, Cambodian potential products, and the main achievements of the royal government of Cambodia – particularly the trade and investment sectors.
Minister strongly believes that through the world–level event, and at the same time the Kingdom of Cambodia opened to receive tourists coming to Cambodia without being quarantined, Cambodia will receive a number of international tourist growths from the end of this November onwards.
In the end, the minister deeply thanked the Expo Organizing Committee for helping facilitate, and warmly welcoming Cambodian delegations and wished a working group standing by at the Cambodian national pavilion to get success in fulfilling daily tasks in the World Expo in Dubai.
