Cambodia is expected to attract more investors and tourists from European markets after the event of MITT 2019
(Moscow): The Ministry of Tourism’s delegations, led by H.E Koch Panhnha Sa, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism and high representative of H.E Minister Thong Khon, on 12 March 2019, led the Ministry of Tourism’s delegations and the three private companies to attend in the “26th Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT 2019)”, in Moscow, Russian Federation, to be held from 12 – 14 March. The International Tourism Exhibition has also been attended by 54 nations and 52 regions of the Russian
Federation; such as Middle East, Asia, America, Africa, Europe, and Mediterranean and other nations of the former of Soviet Union (CIS) and Russia tourism companies, as well as tourism related private sectors up to 1800 companies and with potential buyers, as well as experts from any national tourism institution coming to conduct lectures on prosperity of tourism sector around the globe, trend of newly evolution, the increase efficiency of tourism information centers, and Russian tourism promotion strategy. Taking that time, H.E Koch Panhnha Sa had been invited to give interview with any Medias of Russian Federation on Cambodian sustainable tourism development. The MITT 2019 is the Fifth tourism exhibition event of the world which is an opportunity for Cambodia in promoting tourism promotional campaign “Cambodia: The Kingdom of Wonder, Feel the Warmth”, and advertising ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF 2021), hosted by Cambodia, as well as attracting tour operators and investors and tourists from European markets, especially Russia to further visit and invest in Cambodia. Be noted that in the last 2018, Cambodia received about 820, 00 tourists from Europe, equal to 13% of total tourists visited Cambodia. Throughout MITT 2019, as emerging prioritized tourist market, Cambodia is expected to gain further tourists from Europe market.
