In the evening of April 29, 2019, H.E Tith Chantha, Citing Minister of Tourism, along with H.E Michael Newbill, Citing Ambassador of United States of America to Cambodia, and representative of Angkor Wildlife3 & Aquarium Company, were invited to open the construction process of Fresh – Sea Waters Aquaculture and Wildlife Sanctuary with participation from Siem Reap administration, private sector, and other associations. This is a big project of Angkor Wildlife & Aquarium, which was created in the form of Cambodia – Japan investment partnerships under cooperation with (ICM Inc. International Concept Management Inc.), form United States of America. This project accounts for total investment volume of USD.70M (on the land size of 100 hectares in Siem Reap province) by dividing into 3 stages, and each stage is scheduled to expend about USD 10 million. The construction in the first stage will last for 2 years by starting from May 2019 and ending in May 2021. This project will bring about Fresh – Sea Waters Aquaculture Center and Wildlife Sanctuary to serve for educational demand and education to local people and international tourists visited to Siem Reap province. Furthermore, the project is a new tourism product for Siem Reap province which will become the second most attractive tourist destination after Angkor Wat – especially is the creation of new attractiveness which will promote tourists to come to the province.
